Can embroidery be combined with DTG?
Yes, embroidery can be combined with DTG to create unique and eye-catching designs on garments on PODpartner. When using both DTG printing and embroidery on a single garment, an additional multi-process fee of $2.99 applies due to increased production complexity.
Can you do embroidery or stitching for my designs?
Yes. We now offer embroidery services! You're welcome to use your own designs for custom embroidery at PODpartner.
What embroidery machine do you use for embroidery?
The Tajima TMEZ-S1501C is a high-quality commercial embroidery machine used by PODpartner. Known for its reliability and excellent embroidery quality, it's designed for fast and efficient production of intricate designs.
What are the stitch types of embroidery PODpartner offers?
PODpartner currently only offers flat embroidery, also known as satin stitch embroidery. This method involves stitching parallel stitches closely together to achieve a smooth, solid surface. It's highly versatile, allowing for various designs ranging from simple text to intricate patterns and even photorealistic images.
Will adding DTG printing to my custom embroidery order increase the production time?
Absolutely not! Integrating DTG printing into your custom embroidery order won't extend the production time. For detailed shipping information, please visit the "Shipping" section in the navigation bar on our website.
What embroidery backings does PODpartner use?
PODpartner uses two types of embroidery backings to ensure high quality and comfort for our clients.
Cut-away backing: This is a layer of material that is placed under the fabric during the embroidery process. It acts as a stabilizer, supporting the fabric and stitches to prevent puckering. This backing also helps to improve the smoothness of the finished embroidery.
Comfort cover backing: After the embroidery is complete, we apply a layer of comfort cover backing to the back of the embroidery. This backing material is designed to provide comfort and protection against skin irritation. Applying the comfort cover backing is one of the unique services we offer.
PODpartner's cut-away backing is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified, while Comfort Cover Backing holds SGS Product Safety Certification, ensuring the safety and quality of both materials.
Note: If you're using DTG printing on the label area of a garment, avoid placing embroidery on the same spot on the back.
How is embroidery pricing calculated?
You can add multiple embroidery frames (areas for placing embroidery on garments) to each product template. Each frame has different dimensions, stitch counts, and prices. Refer to the pricing chart below for details:
- The number of thread colors you select won't change the cost of your embroidery.
- No digitization fees for uploading .dst files or using custom text embroidery.
- Stay tuned for the upcoming feature of uploading images, which will incur digitization fees.
